I have owned my home since 2004. Over the years Mr. Hedden helped me with a number of plumbing issues including replacing hot water heaters as needed. I realized a couple of days ago that my hot water heater was problematic. I kept my fingers crossed that Mr. Hedden was still installing hot water heaters. Why? Because if I wanted someone knowledgeable, ethical, and looking out for my best interests I wanted him to make the call. He is so easy to work with, always willing to answer my questions and explain things. He takes great pride in a job done well. If you need to replace your hot water heater do yourself a favor and call his office. You won't be sorry.

Well I want to start by saying I reached out to A.O SMITH customer service they gave me IRVIN P HEDDEN JR contact info for a warranty issue with my water heater. Irvin the owner of HEDDEN plumbing answered my call right away also spent 35 mins on the phone with me performing a couple simple tests like slab leak test etc. after getting off the phone with him got an appointment on NEW YEARS EVE. He came to my home showed up early replaced my thermostat and upper heating element. Was not happy or satisfied until I had constant hot water. Definitely recommend this company for any plumbing or water heater needs.

The job was supposed to be a simple removal and replacement of an Aquasana whole house water filter system. It actually turned out to be a very complex and challenging retrofit with hard-to-find specialized fittings. Most plumbers would probably have abandoned the job and left the customer in limbo. Hedden Plumbing doggedly stayed on the job and brought it to a very successful and well crafted solution. Job well done!

I’ve done business with this company for any plumbing needs for many years. The Owner Irvin is extremely knowledgeable and can tell you what needs to be done very quickly. My hot water heater failed and was also out of code. Irvin showed up quickly and with everything needed to complete the job. He replaced the heater and brought it up to code. We purchased our house that was built in 2020 in 2024. At that time, it was on its second Rheem electric water heater (so 2 water heaters in 4 years). Hedden was recommended to me by a good friend who used them for his new water heater. Of the three plumbers who looked at my water heater, only Hedden could determine why it failed (and likely why the first one failed). I was impressed with their knowledge of how water tanks work and why they fail. They did a great job installing the new water heater, but just as importantly, let me know how to maintain the expansion tank. Apparently very few plumbers are aware of how an expansion tank works and how to maintain it: (consistent either my personal experience) air must be added upon installation and monitored. The other 2 plumbers didn’t mention the expansion tank (which was the cause of the water tank failure) at all when I drew their attention to my water heater problem. Hedden was the most expensive of the 3, but in the end they are the best value because I expect to get several years out of this tank now that I know how to maintain it properly.

Over the past three years of using Hedden Plumbing, my wife and I decided it was time to leave a review. We have had multiple repairs done at both our house and family's homes. One job was a complex installation of two tank-less water heater. This is when I realized Irv is an expert at what he does. The project was explained to me and I was kept up to date until completion. We are confident that Irv and his team are capable of handling any plumbing issues that may arise.

Called Hedden today after a referral from Rheem Water Heater Co. Irvin answered my first call, listened to my explanation of the problems with my Water Heater, and made an appointment to come to my home the same day. He quickly found the issue’s, gave me a fair price, made the repairs and got the Water Heater working. I will not hesitate to call him with any future plumbing issues. Thanks again Irvin!
